The project was created by Chrissy van der Linden (Dutch) and Stefano Bajak (Ecuadorian) two animal and nature lovers. Both come from the audiovisual world where the pace of life is fast, demanding and exhausting.
The idea at first was to find a place to rest from the city between jobs and they found it, Mompiche. A small coastal town in Esmeraldas Province in the north of Ecuador, where the jungle seems to merge with the sea and the people are pleasant and uncomplicated. They began to build their house in the middle of the forest and at that precise moment they realized that the forest was disappearing and that they had to act immediately.
They created the Save the Paradise Foundation to make a difference and save as much forest as possible. the priorities quickly took another path, and the ball start to roll. After two years of hard work, things are starting to move in the right direction thanks to the help of committed people whom support the project and like-minded neighbors.
The foundation is developing several projects to create a proper environmental education and work opportunities for the local community.
